Overview

In this role you will partner with the SVP of Oncology Clinical Development to shape and execute the oncology strategy across research to launch. You will collaborate with senior leaders to build the portfolio, align acquisitions, and ensure governance across functions. You will drive operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration with Kite, and deliver strategic initiatives. This role offers exposure to leadership, high-impact decision-making, and a chance to accelerate growth of Gilead's oncology franchise.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate leadership team meetings; drive engagement and strategy execution
• Provide strategic input across the oncology portfolio from research through launch
• Align oncology strategy with corporate development and oversee diligence staffing
• Liaise with Franchise Heads and HR to secure talent aligned with priorities
• Define short- and long-term goals and KPIs for the therapeutic area
• Lead or participate in cross-functional strategic initiatives
• Maintain an integrated view of priorities, budgets, and study goals
• Network across the organization to connect siloed projects and collaborate with Kite
• Act as a business partner to ensure smooth workflow, strategic alignment, and execution
• Prepare presentations and manage communications to senior stakeholders

Key requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of experience OR Master's with 12+ years OR PhD with 12+ years
• Preferred: PhD or MD in a relevant field
• 10+ years in industry drug development with oncology focus preferred
• Clinical science and trial experience across Ph I-Ph III and filing in a large pharma
