Overview

In this role you lead the FP&A team to deliver actionable financial insights across GAAP, statutory, and management reporting while driving finance transformation. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to improve planning, forecasting, and reporting through modern platforms and automation. You'll champion data governance, cloud-based data solutions, and self-service analytics to enable faster, more reliable decision-making. This is a strategic role within a collaborative, mission-driven finance organization focused on scale and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable recommendations
  • Partner with business leaders on strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Maintain financial controls, governance, and compliance
  • Identify and implement process, automation, and reporting improvements
  • Oversee data quality, reporting tools, and analytics within FP&A
  • Lead finance process engineering to simplify, standardize, and automate planning and reporting
  • Assess end-to-end workflows to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborate with Technology, Data, Actuarial, and Operations on transformation programs
  • Design and govern finance data solutions including cloud repositories and AWS data lake
  • Develop executive dashboards and self-service analytics with Power BI
  • Translate financial data into dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs for leadership
  • Promote data visualization, automation, and advanced reporting to shorten cycles
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • 12 years of accounting/finance experience including eight years of management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of assigned business area (e.g., investments, premiums, corporate finance)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication to diverse audiences
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems
