Overview

In this role you support a program's financial health by managing actuals, budgets and forecasts and serving as the primary financial contact. You provide program-level analysis to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, help explain variances, and develop scenarios to inform decision making. You will coordinate with collaborators, prepare quarterly activity reports, and respond to ad-hoc financial requests. This role sits at the intersection of finance and program management within a biotech/pharma context, offering impact through rigorous analysis and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage actuals, budgets and forecasts for the program and communicate financial status to senior management and program teams
• Act as the program's financial liaison with collaborators for financial matter exchanges
• Coordinate gathering and drafting of variance explanations from Functional Finance groups
• Ensure quarterly activity reports are prepared and distributed to collaborators
• Develop financial scenarios (external expenses and FTEs) for program decision making and present to Program Direction, PM and Sr. Management
• Provide ad-hoc financial support to business and Sr. Management

Key requirements

• 5+ years of progressive finance experience with some supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a quantitative field; MBA preferred
• Exceptional analytical skills with strong forecasting and business analytics knowledge
• Proficient in Excel; Pivot tables and/or Hyperion experience is a plus
• Professional communication and presentation skills
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred
