Overview

In this role you lead the Finance & Accounting function for the Rose Hills market, overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analytics to drive performance. You collaborate with senior management and other locations, acting as a liaison with corporate groups to align on strategy and controls. You shape budgeting, forecasting, and pricing initiatives while delivering insightful financial reviews and data-driven recommendations. This opportunity places you at the center of cross-functional impact, balancing governance with business insight.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Accounting, Finance, and Procurement teams and oversee key managers and associates
  • Oversee SQL query development and maintenance for financial reporting and analytics
  • Manage month-end close, AP/AR, product reconciliation, internal controls, and asset budgeting/reporting
  • Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic goals into data-driven analyses and dashboards
  • Lead annual budgets and forecasts, price-change analysis, and implementation
  • Conduct financial reviews with commentary for leadership and benchmarking
  • Gather requirements for strategic initiatives and ensure data quality before reporting
  • Stay current on analytics methods and ensure timely completion of initiatives
  • Communicate progress and collaborate across locations and departments
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, BI tools, and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to leadership
