Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while you deliver high-quality telehealth and occasional in-person therapeutic sessions. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in their healing processes.
  • Delivering individual and group therapy sessions focused on trauma processing, coping strategy development, and empowerment to promote healing.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, comprehensive care.
  • Providing crisis intervention support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance when needed.
  • Educating patients and their families on trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, as well as community resources.
  • Maintaining detailed, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in professional development activities and case consultations to enhance your trauma-informed care practice.
  • Staying current with best practices and research in trauma therapy and psychology.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, facilitating their recovery and helping them navigate their mental health challenges. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will directly impact the lives of patients and contribute to their overall wellness.

Qualifications

To be a successful candidate, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client interaction.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
Preferred Experience

While we welcome candidates from various backgrounds, the following experiences are preferred:

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specifically in trauma-informed care.
  • Strong familiarity with trauma-related disorders and treatment methodologies.
  • Experience conducting trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
Compensation and Benefits

  • A base salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year.
