Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing for increased flexibility in your work schedule while also accommodating the diverse needs of our patients. Our telehealth platform facilitates effective communication and therapy sessions, enabling you to connect with young clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will typically work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient availability and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider each patient's developmental stage and family dynamics, ensuring alignment with best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address a wide scope of mental health concerns and facilitate positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers to create a stable and nurturing environment, enhancing the therapeutic process for the young individuals.
  • Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient, participating in regular case consultations and team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young patients while adhering to established protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to promote a greater understanding and support system.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying informed of advancements in child psychiatry and mental health therapies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on delivering mental health services to children and adolescents, typically ranging from ages 5 to 18. You will work closely with young clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. Your role entails not just the treatment of these conditions but also fostering a supportive relationship with your patients and their families.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of Texas.
  • Proven expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and relevant treatment approaches.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach to therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly working with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in providing individual and family therapy tailored to the unique needs of young clients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, emphasizing organizational skills and proficiency in digital communication.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
