With a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of youth facing substantial challenges.

About the Organization

At Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C., we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive mental health services that support children and families. Our mission is to empower caregivers and improve the quality of life for youth experiencing developmental disabilities and related challenges. Our approach is holistic, integrating therapeutic methods tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We strive for excellence in service delivery while maintaining a supportive and collaborative work culture.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility that allows you to execute your duties from the comfort of your home. As a part of our telehealth facility, you will engage with clients via video conferencing platforms, delivering therapy in a structured yet adaptable setting. Our digital infrastructure ensures you have the necessary tools and resources to conduct effective therapy sessions while collaborating closely with fellow professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering in-home therapy sessions or group therapy in a virtual setting, tailored to meet individual client needs.

  • Implementing therapeutic strategies to assist in anger management, enhance coping skills, and develop social skills, thereby reducing problematic behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.

  • Working collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and communicating consistently with multidisciplinary professionals to provide holistic support to families.

  • Administering and documenting all required client information, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to set deadlines.

  • Participating in monthly team meetings, where you will discuss cases, provide feedback, and recommend care improvements based on your expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily supports children aged 3 to 20 who are navigating the complexities of developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). You will engage with diverse families, providing targeted interventions that require cultural sensitivity—particularly for those families that speak Spanish or Portuguese. The goal is to enhance the overall well-being of youth while empowering caregivers in their decision-making and managing behavioral challenges effectively.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

  • An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.

  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, particularly between 4-7 PM, with weekend flexibility being advantageous.

  • A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required for potential in-community visits.

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas will have a competitive advantage:

  • Providing positive behavior support and developing tailored interventions for children with I/DD.

  • Working within multidisciplinary teams focusing on mental health and behavioral therapy.

  • Evidence of familiarity with child therapy modalities and techniques that address high-risk behaviors.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, we offer a robust benefits package that includes:

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment focused on professional development.

  • Comprehensive group health coverage.

  • Annual paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

  • Short and long-term disability insurance for peace of mind.

  • A 401K plan to help you save for your future.
