We are a forward-thinking, independent, multi-specialty physician-led organization serving the Hampton Roads area. Currently, we are looking for a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Physician in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Health, or Emergency Medicine to become part of our dynamic urgent care team at NowCare Urgent Cares.
NowCare operates seven accessible locations across Southeast Virginia, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Suffolk. We provide walk-in urgent care services every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, delivering high-quality, patient-focused care for a variety of acute illnesses and injuries in a modern outpatient environment.
What We Offer:
Salary Range: $300,000 - $380,000
Compensation is based on specialty, experience, schedule, and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Physician at NowCare Urgent Care, you will deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting while working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team.
Comfort in treating patients of all ages is essential.
Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.
Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including patient histories and physical examinations.
Order, interpret, and oversee diagnostic tests, such as lab work, EKGs, and X-rays.
Create evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications following current clinical guidelines.
Perform common urgent care procedures, including:
- Laceration repair (suturing/stapling)
- Incision and drainage
- Splinting and basic orthopedic care
- Foreign body removal
- Wound care and dressing changes
Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and collaborative support for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Obtain and maintain DOT Medical Examiner Certification (or be willing to acquire it upon hiring).
Conduct DOT physical examinations and complete all necessary documentation.
Offer occupational health services, including:
- Urine drug screens (UDS)
- Breath alcohol testing
- Chain of custody specimen collection and documentation
- Return-to-work and work-related injury evaluations
