Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and the medical team to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatment for clients, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Conduct mental health in-service training for medical, psychiatric, and security staff, facilitating a supportive environment across the facility.

  • Swiftly intervene in mental health emergencies, leveraging de-escalation techniques to promote client safety and stability.

  • Participate in commitment hearings as necessary, advocating for clients and ensuring their rights are upheld.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

  • Thoroughly document all patient interactions and treatment progress to maintain accurate records and inform future sessions.

  • Protect the confidentiality of medical records, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

  • Verify patients' mental health histories, including previous therapies and psychotropic medications, to inform treatment strategies.

  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports and any necessary special reports to the medical team.

  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and mental health professionals to arrange post-release referrals, supporting continuous care for clients transitioning out of the facility.

Compensation and Benefits
