  • Participation in outpatient transplant clinics, which includes:

    • Evaluations for pre-transplant recipients.

    • Assessments for living donors.

    • Post-transplant follow-up care.

    • Involvement in ongoing expansion initiatives, including the NKR program.

  • Collaboration with transplant surgeons, advanced practice providers, coordinators, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary support teams.

  • Opportunities to engage in organ offer reviews and recipient selection discussions as transplant volumes increase.

  • Active participation in quality improvement and transplant program development initiatives.

  • An academic appointment with our organization, offering opportunities in teaching, clinical collaboration, and program leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience in managing kidney transplant recipients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, ideally within the last two years.

  • A passion for expanding and modernizing a multidisciplinary transplant program.

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.

  • A commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and academic medicine.

Practice Highlights:
  • A well-established and expanding kidney transplant program serving the Capital Region and nearby communities.

  • A multidisciplinary transplant team that emphasizes collaborative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Opportunities to influence the structure of transplant nephrology services as the program grows.

  • Involvement in the management of transplant recipients throughout the continuum of care.

  • Increasing outpatient transplant clinic volume and referral base.

  • A comprehensive electronic medical record system and modern clinical infrastructure.

  • Teaching opportunities available for residents, fellows, medical students, and advanced practice providers.

  • An academic environment that fosters research, quality initiatives, and program development.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a fellowship in Transplant Nephrology from an accredited program.

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.

  • Proven clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care.

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.

  • Academic experience or interest suitable for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to patient care.

  • A dedication to education, quality improvement, and advancing the field of transplant medicine.

We offer a highly competitive benefits package, which includes:
  • A competitive base salary range of $285,000-$300,000, depending on rank and experience, with additional incentive bonuses based on clinical and academic productivity.

  • A generous sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.

  • Relocation assistance to facilitate your move.

  • Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
