About the Area

Downey is a city rich in culture, history, and community spirit. As one of the gateway cities to Los Angeles, it offers a tranquil, family-friendly atmosphere while providing easy access to attractions and social activities in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Working Here

At our Downey location, we foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, prioritizing safety for both patients and caregivers. Our leadership promotes accessibility and maintains a flat organizational structure, which helps build trust among physicians and support staff. Innovation is a key focus; for instance, Downey was the first medical center in the region to perform same-day total joint surgeries. We also emphasize efficiency, continually improving workflows across the medical center and ancillary offices. Additionally, we prioritize wellness—both physical and mental—by providing regular opportunities for dining, socializing, and exercising together. With a high level of tertiary care, one of the largest NICUs in the region, and a full physician staff for OB and anesthesia, Downey excels in serving a diverse and high-risk patient population.

Equal Employment Opportunity

All external hires are required to undergo a background check and drug screening. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and/or conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. All qualified candidates will be given equal consideration for employment, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or disability.
