Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being connected to a vibrant team of mental health professionals. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive assessments for clients, taking into consideration their unique backgrounds and needs.

  • Provide tailored psychological interventions for a diverse clientele, from individual therapy sessions to group therapy.

  • Create and implement customized therapy plans that aim to empower clients to enhance their resilience and coping skills.

  • Design crisis management strategies, including safety plans and relapse prevention techniques, to support clients during critical times.

  • Engage in regular supervision and team meetings to collaborate on client care and share best practices.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work primarily with individuals seeking mental health support, as well as couples and families addressing relationship dynamics and behavioral issues. Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds and present a broad range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. You will tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the culturally specific needs of the clients, ensuring an inclusive and respectful therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.

  • Valid and active mental health license in Virginia as either an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and work collaboratively with team members.

  • Ability to manage a diverse client caseload and adapt therapeutic approaches as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience providing mental health therapy.

  • Experience working in community health settings or a similar environment.

  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapies and familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits
