Histotechnician - Warner Robins, GA

Looking for a new laboratory opportunity?
A hospital in Georgia is seeking a Histotechnician to join its pathology team.

• Direct-hire opportunity


• Prepare, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy specimens


• Perform routine and special stains


• Prepare slides for immunoperoxidase staining


• Process frozen sections


• Assist with renal biopsies and gross pathology procedures


• Participate in QA/QC, continuing education, and laboratory safety


• Maintain equipment, supplies, specimens, slides, and blocks

• High school diploma/GED required


• Completion of an approved histological technique program or equivalent


• ASCP HT certification required or eligibility to obtain


• Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire


• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment


• Flexible to work alternate shifts as departmental needs require
