This position operates within a remote outpatient office setting, allowing counselors to work flexibly while still engaging with clients meaningfully. In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' unique needs and challenges.


• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that address specific issues, ensuring follow-up and adjustments as necessary.


• Facilitate therapeutic sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for individuals, couples, and groups.


• Actively collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated and holistic care.


• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes, meeting all ethical and legal compliance standards.


• Participate in ongoing professional development, workshops, and training to stay informed about the latest practices and research in mental health.

Your clinical focus will include a diverse range of clients facing various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The clinic facilitates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, serving individuals from various backgrounds. To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.


• An active New York State license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).


• A minimum of two (2) years of counseling experience in a clinical setting.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, which are critical for effectively building relationships with clients and colleagues.

While not mandatory, we prefer candidates with:

• Specialization in trauma, substance use, or family counseling to address complex client needs effectively.


• Familiarity with ethical and legal guidelines in mental health practice.
