Position Overview

We are currently in search of a full-time academic Transplant Hepatologist to become a part of our Division of Hepatology and the Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation. This vital position entails managing the medical care of patients suffering from liver diseases, including those requiring liver transplants. We welcome applications from candidates at the assistant, associate, and professor of medicine levels, based on their qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and treating liver-related conditions.
  • Evaluating patients for liver transplantation eligibility.
  • Managing pre- and post-transplant care.
  • Providing education to medical students, residents, and fellows in GI and Transplant Hepatology.
Qualifications
  • Candidates must be board eligible or certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in General and Transplant Hepatology, as well as endoscopy, is essential.
  • Exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and patient care.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State is necessary.
  • Experience in academic research and teaching is highly regarded and will be considered a significant asset.
