Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-call crisis services during standard workdays to ensure immediate support for clients in need.

  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations which include comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health histories, criminal backgrounds, and substance use history.

  • Evaluate suicide risk effectively, utilizing clinical tools and ensuring meticulous documentation for ongoing care.

  • Deliver crisis interventions and psychotherapy, specifically adapting to the needs of clients in varied physical settings, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.

  • Collaborate with medical staff and allied support personnel to diagnose and assist in managing complex psychiatric disorders, ensuring comprehensive treatment plans are established.

  • Compose detailed clinical reports and develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate established best practices, tailored to client diagnoses.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, monitor progress toward treatment goals, and adhere to all ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Foster teamwork by making informed recommendations to care teams, ensuring clear communication with clients and interdisciplinary staff.

  • Create treatment plans that reflect current mental health guidelines and provide therapy, therapeutic counseling, and educational support to clients, promoting their well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clients will include mothers, often navigating various life challenges that impact their mental health. You will also work closely with underserved populations who may have experienced systemic barriers to accessing care. Your understanding of socioeconomic determinants of health will enable you to effectively connect and empathize with clients who face unique struggles.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Holds an independent mental health licensure in your state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).

  • Strong digital communication skill set, including proficiency in electronic mail and electronic medical record systems.

  • A valid driver’s license is required for occasional on-site visits to veterans' homes.

  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload while maintaining a high standard of care.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to impact the lives of clients positively.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

  • Background in mental health assessments, community outreach, and social services.

  • Minimum of two years providing direct therapy in a community mental health setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, complemented by a robust benefits package.
