Our organization is currently looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to become a part of our full-time faculty. This role involves engaging in both inpatient and outpatient care settings. The responsibilities encompass rotations in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Progressive Care Unit, conducting pulmonary and critical care consultations, performing procedures, and interpreting pulmonary function tests (PFTs). While experience with pigtail catheters, indwelling pleural catheters, EBUS, pleural biopsies, percutaneous tracheostomies, and intubations is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Additionally, the role includes providing care to a uniquely diverse patient population through outpatient pulmonary clinics. The facility is conveniently accessible via public transportation and by car from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. A valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number are also required. Furthermore, a faculty appointment with our affiliated medical school will be offered, reflecting the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications.
