Key Responsibilities

In this role as an LMFT, you will engage with couples and family units, guiding them through various situations requiring support and intervention. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing therapy for couples who are navigating through conflicts, enhancing communication, and rebuilding emotional connections.
  • Conducting individual therapy sessions with family members to address personal issues that affect family dynamics.
  • Designing treatment plans tailored to individuals and families dealing with challenges such as alcohol abuse, conflicts among family members, grief and loss, medical issues, and adjustment to divorce.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions focusing on communication skills and conflict resolution, particularly in blended families.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic methodologies to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, including adults and adolescent populations, offering support for a variety of challenges they face. Understanding the unique needs of families, you will become a pivotal part of their journey to health and wellness, often working with those experiencing significant life changes, stressors from family dynamics, and mental health issues.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient advocacy.
