Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician

Location Details:

  • Hospitals:

    • Mainland Campus - Pomona, NJ

    • City Campus - Atlantic City, NJ

  • Outpatient Facilities:

    • Pulmonology Office - Pomona, NJ (across from Mainland Hospital)

    • Health Park - Egg Harbor Township, NJ

Position Summary

We are looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to become part of our expanding and collaborative team. This role encompasses a well-rounded combination of inpatient pulmonary care, ICU responsibilities, and outpatient services across two hospital locations and a contemporary outpatient facility.

Our physicians enjoy robust support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), a collegial atmosphere, and opportunities for teaching as we broaden our academic initiatives.

  • Convenient travel distance between campuses (approximately 12-15 miles)

  • Outpatient site easily accessible within South Jersey

Work Schedule & Structure

  • Balanced responsibilities across inpatient, ICU, and outpatient settings

  • Rotational schedule:

    • 5 days of inpatient care (Mainland or City campus)

    • 5 days in outpatient practice

  • One Friday-Monday ICU block per rotation

  • Night call from home

  • No overnight in-house ICU call required

Support Framework

  • 24/7 in-house ICU coverage provided by intensivists and APPs

  • Dedicated APP support available at each campus

  • Collaborative, team-oriented care model

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inpatient pulmonary and critical care consultations

  • Manage patients in the MICU alongside the intensivist team

  • Provide outpatient pulmonary care in Egg Harbor Township

  • Supervise and collaborate with APPs

  • Engage in teaching opportunities with residents and medical students

Workload & Call Expectations

  • Approximately a 50/50 split between inpatient and outpatient duties

  • Primarily home-based call responsibilities

  • Weekend duties include:

    • MICU coverage on Saturdays and Sundays

    • Consultation coverage across both campuses

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine

  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork abilities

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring
