We are in search of a distinguished Gastroenterologist with fellowship training and specialization in Advanced Endoscopy to join one of the largest and most comprehensive VA healthcare systems in the country.
If you seek high procedural volume, complex cases, a remarkable multidisciplinary team, academic opportunities, and a chance to practice medicine free from the pressures of a production-focused private practice, this position is worth considering.
WHY JOIN US?
As the second-largest VA healthcare system in the U.S., our facility offers a wide-ranging and robust GI practice catering to a large and diverse Veteran population.
This is not a low-volume practice. Our Advanced Endoscopists have the chance to perform numerous procedures weekly while handling a combination of advanced and general gastroenterology.
Your practice may encompass:

Your daily practice can provide the clinical diversity and procedural intricacy that seasoned Advanced Endoscopists desire, while maintaining a manageable clinic volume compared to many private-sector settings.
A PRACTICE FOCUSED ON PATIENT CARE - NOT RVUs
At our facility, you will not be working under a production or RVU-based compensation model.

ACADEMICS, TEACHING & RESEARCH
Our facility offers a unique chance to merge clinical practice with academic and educational pursuits.
The Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship provides numerous opportunities to engage with fellows, residents, and medical students. Physicians interested in teaching, research, quality improvement, or developing an academic career are encouraged to pursue these interests.
There are also opportunities for collaboration with local medical centers and other VA facilities.
Research involvement is encouraged, and physicians with interests in areas such as IBD, advanced endoscopy, hepatology, quality improvement, and clinical research will find avenues for professional growth.
CALL SCHEDULE THAT RESPECTS YOUR TIME
One of the benefits of joining an established Advanced Endoscopy team is a shared and manageable call structure.
For Advanced Endoscopists, the call rotation is approximately 1 week every 6 weeks, allowing you to maintain a fulfilling clinical practice while ensuring meaningful time away from work.
