The ideal candidate will not only provide therapy but will also collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

About the Organization

At Gateway Psychiatry Counseling LLC, we are pioneers in reshaping mental health care by offering innovative, accessible, and high-quality services. Our mission is to enrich lives through exceptional care, focusing on the holistic well-being of our patients, their families, and the wider community. Driven by our core values of compassion, excellence, leadership, innovation, and agility, we empower each team member to become a catalyst for positive change within our healthcare system.

Work Environment

This role will be conducted primarily in a climate-controlled office setting, allowing you to engage with patients through a hybrid model that includes telemedicine and in-person consultations. You will interact daily with interdisciplinary teams, which may consist of nurses, physician assistants, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including the utilization of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.

  • Create and maintain individualized treatment plans that reflect the needs, goals, and cultural diversity of each patient.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions by continually monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.

  • Document all clinical information accurately and within stipulated timelines, adhering to regulatory and departmental standards.

  • Collaborate with patients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that emphasize safety and symptom reduction.

  • Act as a liaison between patients and external healthcare providers, effectively coordinating referrals to additional treatment options when necessary.

  • Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to students, interns, and new team members under the supervision of a designated clinical leader.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus primarily on supporting individuals and families who are facing the challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. Your expertise will be vital in helping them navigate emotional distress, adjustments in lifestyle, and the psychosocial aspects of living with such a serious illness. Understanding the unique needs of this population, you will tailor your therapeutic strategies to ensure they receive comprehensive and empathetic care.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and eligibility to practice in Texas.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications set a foundation for success, we highly value candidates with experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly those who have worked with patients dealing with chronic illnesses or significant life changes. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to a generous annual salary, we provide:

  • A substantial signing bonus to support your transition into our organization.

  • A flexible work schedule with no night or weekend shifts, and a fully remote option available.

  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, paid parental leave, and additional holiday pay.

  • Access to state-of-the-art technology and robust administrative support to minimize administrative burdens and maximize patient interaction.
