Work EnvironmentThis role is primarily remote, providing the convenience of working from home while having the support of a committed team of mental health professionals. Our outpatient office is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate efficient therapy sessions, including video conferencing tools for telehealth visits. Key Responsibilities- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with adult clients, utilizing various therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs.
- Perform thorough bio-psycho-social assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Provide psychoeducation to clients, helping them build coping and social skills while effectively managing anger and reducing risk behaviors.
- Enhance decision-making skills in clients and their families, assisting them in tackling behavioral challenges within their home environments.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other allied health professionals, to ensure holistic support for clients.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of clinical documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in regular team meetings and adhere to mandatory reporting requirements, contributing actively to case discussions and departmental goals.
Our therapists work primarily with a diverse population of adults facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional disturbances. Qualifications- A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
- Clinical mental health training and experience in outpatient therapy settings.
- A valid New York State license or certification to practice as a mental health provider.
- Strong understanding of the DSM-V for assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
- Previous experience working with adult populations in clinical settings, demonstrating the ability to engage effectively with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Experience with crisis intervention training is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed treatment plans, including goal setting and monitoring client progress.
- Experience providing positive behavior support and implementing strategies to facilitate client engagement.
