Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development of responsive parenting skills in caregivers by attentively listening to their values and concerns, reflecting on their children's social and emotional needs, and providing constructive feedback that enhances caregiver competence.

  • Implement a range of therapeutic interventions to address mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, coping with chronic pain, and social interpersonal issues.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and needs.

  • Serve as a consultant to fellow professionals in the school environment, offering insights that integrate psychological perspectives into daily practices.

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical documentation that adheres to state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with families of young children, often addressing diverse cultural backgrounds and varying social circumstances. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting caregivers and helping them navigate the complexities of childhood mental health challenges. You'll deploy your skills to not only impact individual clients but also reinforce positive coping mechanisms within the family unit.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (LICSW) or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Current, independently licensed status in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

  • A minimum of two years of experience in providing mental health services or therapeutic support.

  • Experience working with families, children, and a willingness to engage with diverse population groups.

  • Strong adaptability and flexible problem-solving skills to cater to unique family dynamics.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work experience in a school setting or familiarity with educational structures and policies.

  • Hands-on experience in crises intervention or management within family contexts.

Compensation and Benefits
