Key Responsibilities

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with addiction, those facing emotional crises, trauma survivors, and clients at risk of self-harm or suicide. Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

  • A current and valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

  • A minimum of three years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.

  • Additional specialization in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention through advanced training.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective counseling services to clients in immediate mental health crises.

  • Proficient in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients in distress.

  • Culturally sensitive approach to support a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in community health settings or crisis intervention centers.

  • Background in addiction therapy and the recovery process.

  • Familiarity with legal and ethical standards guiding mental health counseling practices, particularly in crisis intervention.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and skills. In addition, our benefits package includes:
