The Compassionate Mind Healing Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments with clients to identify their goals, preferences, and available treatment options, subsequently developing personalized rehabilitation strategies tailored to their unique needs.
- Create and implement specific rehabilitation plans that account for each client’s individual educational background, skills, physical abilities, and future aspirations, making adjustments as necessary throughout the treatment continuum.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals—including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists—to implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the holistic needs of clients.
- Maintain meticulous case files and documentation for each client, ensuring accurate records of personal data, eligibility criteria, insurance information, services delivered, correspondence, and communication logs.
- Continuously track and document client progress, evaluating treatment effectiveness and making informed adjustments as necessary to ensure the optimal outcomes for each client.
- Engage with clients during job training and occupational placement programs, providing timely support and addressing any challenges that may arise promptly.
- Work collaboratively with clients’ family members to foster understanding and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Assess client needs and prepare comprehensive reports to facilitate ongoing treatment and support.
- Offer guidance and connect clients to relevant community resources when necessary.
In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including those experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and emotional distress. Your focus will be on providing empathetic care that empowers clients to navigate their personal obstacles while encouraging them to enhance their overall quality of life.
Qualifications- Educational Background: A master's degree in a related field such as counseling, social work, psychology, or marital and family therapy.
- Licensure: Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey is required.
- Mental Health Experience: Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment, particularly with individuals facing mood disorders and other mental health conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborative Approach: A strong team player who thrives in cooperative environments and has a passion for driving positive change.
- Clinical Proficiency: Expertise in therapeutic methodologies such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), complemented by a commitment to rigorous documentation standards.
- Experience in telehealth or virtual counseling settings is highly valued.
- Familiarity with integrated care models that combine mental and physical health perspectives.
- Ability to utilize technology effectively in client communication and documentation.
- Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
