Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Oncology Focus

Compassionate Being Wellness Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) to join our telehealth team. This full-time position allows you to provide vital psychosocial support to cancer patients at various stages of their journey, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).


• Provide high-quality mental health counseling through a combination of in-person and remote sessions, accommodating the needs of individuals, couples, families, or groups.


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and address both physical and emotional health concerns.


• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the ethical guidelines set forth by professional regulatory bodies throughout all interactions.


• Document all therapy sessions meticulously, keeping accurate treatment plans and progress notes to track patient outcomes and inform future sessions.


• Stay informed about recent advancements in mental health treatment, integrating relevant findings into practice to enhance the quality of care.


• Participate actively in professional development and training opportunities to continually enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.


• Engage with patients’ family members, providing support and education regarding mental health resources and coping strategies.


• Other duties as assigned to align with organizational needs and client services.

This role primarily focuses on providing support to cancer patients at varying stages of their journey. Clients may be newly diagnosed individuals, those managing treatment-related challenges, survivors adjusting to life post-treatment, or patients at end-of-life stages. Your ability to empathize and connect with patients facing these complex emotional situations will be crucial to their healing process.

• A master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.


• Current licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC), marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or clinical social worker (LICSW) as per state regulations.


• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.


• Proficient in coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team environment.


• Demonstrated strong communication skills; ability to share information clearly and effectively while also being an active listener.


• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience in oncology-focused mental health counseling would be a strong asset.


• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology to facilitate online therapy sessions.


• Previous experience in a clinical setting offering supportive counseling and therapeutic interventions.
