We are actively seeking pediatric hospitalist physicians to become part of our team in various capacities, including full-time, part-time, and PRN roles, at our esteemed facility located at Southern Maryland Hospital, conveniently situated near Washington, DC. Our pediatric hospitalists are tasked with delivering exceptional medical care to pediatric patients admitted to our newborn nurseries and handling ER consultations.
Southern Maryland Hospital, located in Clinton, Maryland, is a comprehensive 250-bed acute care facility, complemented by a 24-bed sub-acute care unit. The hospital experiences around 65,000 emergency room visits and approximately 19,000 admissions annually. Our pediatric hospitalists also oversee the special care nursery (Level II NICU).
Clinton, situated in Prince George's County, boasts excellent public schools and universities. The metro subway system provides access to numerous free attractions, including museums, art galleries, festivals, and the National Zoo. Major cities like New York City, Philadelphia, and Richmond, VA, are just a few hours away, and residents benefit from the proximity of two major airports: Dulles International and Reagan National.
The ideal candidate will possess current Maryland licensure or eligibility and be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics. Recent experience as a pediatric hospitalist is essential, along with skills in neonatal resuscitation according to the latest NRP guidelines, including intubation, line placement, management of general pediatric conditions, and stabilization prior to transport. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of professionals are crucial. Multiple shift options are available.

Compensation for this position ranges from $170,044 to $222,594.
