You will be working in a remote setting, which allows for flexibility and the convenience of meeting clients from your own environment. Our community mental health center promotes a culture of collaboration, encouraging regular communication with team members through digital platforms. Although the majority of your work will be conducted remotely, you will have opportunities to engage with colleagues and clients through occasional in-person meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify individual clients' mental health needs, enabling the formulation of tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services using various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant approaches, to facilitate healing and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare practitioners to ensure a seamless continuum of care, making necessary referrals when required.
  • Offer crisis intervention services and support for clients in acute distress, ensuring appropriate resources and care plans are activated promptly.
  • Engage with the community through outreach events and educational workshops designed to promote mental health awareness and destigmatize mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will encompass a diverse range of clients, including those from various cultural, socio-economic, and age backgrounds. The clinic serves individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing meaningful relationships with clients as you work together towards recovery and improved mental well-being.

Qualifications

  • A valid license as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia is required.
  • A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is essential.
  • You should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively establish rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity are prerequisites, as you will work with individuals from varying backgrounds and life experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate records and documentation are crucial for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Preferred Experience

  • At least two years of clinical experience working as a mental health therapist or counselor, preferably in a community health setting, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is an asset, enhancing the efficiency of your practice.
  • Experience delivering therapy in virtual settings, especially during the past years of increased remote care, will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, commensurate with your skills and experience.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans covering medical, dental, and vision care to support your well-being.
  • Professional liability insurance will be provided as part of your employment package.
  • Generous paid time off policies and recognized holiday benefits ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development, including access to workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses to advance your career.
  • A collaborative team environment conducive to mentorship and support, ensuring you have the resources you need to thrive.
  • The chance to engage in meaningful work that contributes positively to the mental health and overall well-being of the community.

Working with Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers numerous pathways for professional advancement. Through mentorship from experienced colleagues, ongoing training, and participation in leadership opportunities, you will be poised to develop your skills and potentially take on greater responsibilities within the organization.
