Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual therapy sessions tailored to each client's unique needs, employing techniques that foster mental wellness and resilience.
• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment that encourages open dialogue and trust between therapists and clients.
• Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve personal growth objectives, employing evidence-based practices to guide treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment strategies based on thorough assessments and ongoing evaluations of client progress.
• Document and track therapy sessions and client progress within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations with colleagues to enhance therapeutic approaches and ensure comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Healing Reflection Counseling, you will engage with a diverse array of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Our focus is on delivering culturally competent care to those in the Alexandria area and beyond, understanding the varying needs of our clients and adapting our approaches accordingly.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Active independent licensing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Proven experience in therapeutic practice, particularly in treatment planning and virtual care environments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits
