Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Provide effective individual therapy using evidence-based practices, adapting methods as necessary to achieve the best outcomes for your clients.
• Engage with clients in establishing therapeutic goals, regularly monitoring progress, and revising treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Utilize teletherapy platforms to deliver high-quality virtual counseling services, ensuring accessibility for clients who may face logistical barriers.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment plans to comply with ethical standards and regulatory mandates.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training, and peer consultations to stay abreast of new therapeutic modalities and evolving best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Barcino Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. Our team is particularly skilled in addressing the complex needs of underrepresented populations in the Baltimore community, providing culturally sensitive therapy that respects and responds to clients’ backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) is required.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for building trust and rapport with clients, fostering an environment conducive to healing.
• Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and challenges are central to your approach.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time management are necessary to balance a robust caseload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a clinical setting, particularly in community health, is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for scheduling, documentation, and billing may be beneficial.
• Experience in utilizing teletherapy platforms to deliver services effectively.

• Our competitive salary range provides an annual compensation of $80,000 to $100,000, based on your experience and caseload management.
