Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health needs, leading to the creation of tailored treatment plans that reflect their individual goals and challenges.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities suited to each client's unique circumstances, focusing on interventions that foster personal growth and resilience.
• Set measurable therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients and continuously monitor their progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Offer teletherapy services as needed, ensuring that clients who face mobility or accessibility challenges have equitable access to mental health support.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation of clients’ treatment progress, adhering to ethical standards and regulatory requirements to protect client confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, keeping abreast of advancements in mental health practices and enhancing your therapeutic skills through training and workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Alta Med, you will work with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health issues. Your ability to establish trusting and empathetic relationships will foster a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and work toward achieving their mental health goals.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Proven experience in developing therapeutic relationships, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills necessary for establishing rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client experiences and needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, essential for managing caseloads and administrative responsibilities efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, experience in teletherapy platforms and familiarity with electronic health record systems are preferred. Previous work in detox or substance use programs may serve as an asset, enabling you to better serve clients with co-occurring disorders.
