Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at our outpatient treatment center, you will:

  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, guiding clients in sharing experiences and learning from one another, fostering a sense of community and support.
  • Provide one-on-one individualized therapy, equipping clients with personalized strategies to manage their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and goals.
  • Conduct regular progress assessments using various tools and methodologies to monitor clients' improvement, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, regularly communicating with other professionals to ensure seamless care and the best outcomes for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30, a critical transitional period where many face significant mental health challenges. Your support will be instrumental in guiding them through issues such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions, aiming for sustainable recovery and empowerment. You will be involved in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), which integrates evidence-based and holistic treatment approaches designed specifically for this demographic.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in mental health counseling, preferably with young adults.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to building rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities.
