Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Medical City Counseling, LLC, you will be tasked with:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mood disorder symptoms of clients, which includes understanding their intensity, frequency, and duration.
- Developing personalized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific needs, goals, and preferences, focusing on tangible metrics to gauge progress.
- Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address various emotional and relational challenges.
- Providing education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy self-care practices.
- Tracking client progress meticulously and adjusting treatment plans as necessary, employing data-driven insights to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for your clients.
- Staying updated on the latest research in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve service delivery.
- Maintaining compliance with legal and ethical guidelines by keeping detailed and confidential client records.
- Engaging actively in professional development opportunities to deepen your expertise in addiction counseling.
You will be focusing on a diverse array of clients seeking help with relationship issues, including but not limited to divorce and family dynamics. Your empathetic approach is essential in creating a safe space for individuals and families to explore their challenges and work towards meaningful resolutions.
QualificationsTo excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington.
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
- A strong foundation of empathy and a non-judgmental approach toward diverse client experiences.
- Proficient organizational skills to manage schedules effectively and address administrative tasks efficiently.
We prefer applicants who have experience or certification in various therapy modalities, such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, or communication therapy. Experience working with clients in distress due to relationship issues, particularly those dealing with divorce, is highly desirable.
