Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being, identifying their unique challenges and goals.
  • Formulate and implement client-centered treatment plans based on thorough evaluations, collaboratively developed with clients.
  • Provide individual therapy tailored to clients of all ages, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, conflict resolution skills, and relationship satisfaction.
  • Regularly review and modify treatment plans to reflect clients' progress and evolving needs, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of client interactions including progress notes and case histories, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Actively engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in marriage and family therapy.
  • Represent Marina Medical Center professionally in all client interactions, upholding our commitment to quality care and ethical standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, demonstrating skills in supporting clients through acute distress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice addresses the needs of a diverse client base, including adolescents, adults, and couples. You will work with clients from various backgrounds, each presenting unique mental health challenges. The focus on inclusive and culturally competent care ensures that all clients feel heard and supported.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related mental health field.
  • Active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality individual and couples therapy.
  • Experiential knowledge in working with both children and adults is preferred.
  • Proficient in timely completion of assessments, documentation, and treatment planning specific to clients' needs.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health setting and familiarity with evidence-based practices in marriage and family therapy.
  • Knowledge of diverse therapeutic modalities and approaches that can be tailored to multiple client populations.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention and management.
Compensation and Benefits
