This role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.</p><p> </p><h4><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h4><ul> <li>Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.</li> <li>Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.</li> <li>Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic status.</li> <li>Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments according to established protocols.</li> <li>Care for patients requiring ventilator support, invasive monitoring, and other critical care interventions.</li> <li>Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.</li> <li>Educate and support patients' families throughout the continuum of care.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.</li></ul><p> </p><h4><strong>Requirements</strong></h4><ul> <li>Active RN license.</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience.</li> <li>Experience caring for high-acuity pediatric patients.</li> <li>BLS and PALS certifications required.</li> <li>Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills.</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced critical care setting.</li></ul><p> </p><h4><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h4><ul> <li>Experience in a large academic or tertiary-care hospital.</li> <li>Pediatric oncology or specialty pediatric critical care experience.</li> <li>Familiarity with ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and advanced monitoring equipment.</li></ul><p> </p><strong>Location:</strong> New York City, NY<br /><strong>Department:</strong> Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)<br /><strong>Schedule:</strong> 3x12-Hour Shifts<br /><strong>Shift:</strong> Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Contract / Temporary<p> </p></div><style type="text/css">a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;}</style>Pandologic.
