SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

37 Media and Marketing Group (37MMG) | Ashburn, Virginia | Full-Time, In-Person

THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative, organized, and energetic Social Media Coordinator to join our team full-time in our Ashburn office. You will manage social media for multiple client accounts, turning each client's approved strategy into scroll-stopping content. This is a hands-on role: you will write the copy, design the graphics, plan the content, and get out into the field to capture the photos and videos that bring our clients' stories to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Management

◦ Manage day-to-day social media for multiple client accounts across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms as needed

◦ Execute each client's social media strategy as defined by the account team, keeping every post on-brand and on-goal

◦ Build and maintain monthly content calendars and schedule posts using our social management tools

◦ Monitor accounts for comments and messages, responding in each brand's voice and flagging issues to the account lead

Copywriting

◦ Write captions, hashtags, and calls to action tailored to each client's brand voice, audience, and platform

◦ Adapt one idea across multiple formats, from Reels and Stories to carousels and static posts

◦ Stay current on trends, audio, and formats, and recommend timely ideas that fit within each client's strategy

Content Development

◦ Develop content concepts that support client goals, including grand openings, promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns

◦ Edit photos and short-form video for social, including Reels and TikToks with captions, music, and text overlays

◦ Design branded social graphics, carousels, Story templates, and event promos for each client, working with our design team on larger brand assets

Content Gathering and On-Site Capture

◦ Travel to client locations, events, and activations across Loudoun County and the greater Northern Virginia and DC region to capture photo and video content

◦ Plan shot lists in advance of each shoot to make sure we capture what the strategy calls for

◦ Coordinate with client contacts to gather assets, menu or product details, event information, and approvals

◦ Organize and archive content libraries for each client so assets are easy to find and reuse

Reporting and Collaboration

◦ Track performance metrics and help prepare monthly reports for clients

◦ Work closely with our account, PR, events, and design teams to keep social aligned with each client's broader marketing plan

◦ Manage multiple deadlines across accounts and communicate status clearly to the team

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

◦ 1 to 2 years of experience managing social media, ideally for multiple brands, an agency, or local businesses

◦ Strong writing skills with the ability to shift voice from brand to brand

◦ Confident capturing photo and video on a smartphone and/or camera, with a good eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling

◦ Hands-on experience editing short-form video (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot, or similar)

◦ Graphic design skills are a must, including proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and a portfolio of social graphics you designed yourself, plus working knowledge of social scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Planoly, or similar)

◦ Highly organized, able to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines without losing the details

◦ Comfortable interacting with business owners, managers, and event guests while shooting on-site

◦ Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to client locations

◦ Availability for occasional evening and weekend events

Preferred

◦ Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field

◦ Agency experience or experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or event marketing

◦ Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom or Premiere Pro

◦ Knowledge of Loudoun County and the Northern Virginia community

Position Details

◦ Schedule: Full-time, in-person at our Ashburn office, with regular travel to client sites and events

◦ Reports to: Project Managers

◦ Compensation: $40,000 annually
