Overview

In this role you ensure ledger integrity and lead the close process for multiple markets within Global GFS. You will partner with market finance teams to uphold financial controls and US GAAP compliance while driving process improvements. You contribute to KPIs, support acquisitions, and collaborate with internal/external auditors to enable timely reporting. This position offers exposure to a multinational RTR environment and opportunities to shape financial operations. You will work across time zones and cultures to deliver accurate, compliant statements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain ledger integrity and ensure worldwide financial compliance with controllers' manuals and applicable laws.
  • Manage the accounting close and financial reporting for assigned markets, including multi-currency transactions and P&L/balance sheet analysis.
  • Review and approve month-end close activities and transactions in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Contribute to RTR GFS priorities, support acquisitions, and help define KPIs and performance monitoring.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and straight-through processing.
  • Coordinate balance sheet reviews with Controllership and support audits with timely data and communication.
  • Prepare GFS monthly operations decks for US FP&A teams and ensure SOX compliance across markets.
  • Travel as required and engage with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Key requirements
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification with experience in a multi-country RTR environment.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise with US GAAP and knowledge of statutory/tax reporting.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience; BA/BS in accounting; MBA or equivalent beneficial.
  • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry is a plus; multinational exposure is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines and interact with auditors.
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/Hana or similar ERP and proficiency with MS tools.
