Real Estate Attorney

Location: New York, NY

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Minimum 2 days per week onsite

Pay Rate: $100/hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Contract: 6 months initially, with a strong possibility of extension

Consilio’s client is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to provide legal support on real estate, data center development, permitting, and site selection matters across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience advising on real estate matters and navigating data center and permitting regulations across different states. This attorney will play an important role in supporting the evaluation and development of new sites and jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on real estate matters across multiple U.S. states and jurisdictions.


• Provide legal guidance regarding data center development and permitting regulations.


• Conduct and oversee legal due diligence on potential new sites.


• Research and analyze real estate, zoning, permitting, and regulatory requirements as part of the site selection process.


• Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory considerations associated with new locations and expansion.


• Identify potential legal and regulatory risks related to real estate transactions and site development.


• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external counsel on complex real estate and development matters.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience with a focus on real estate.


• Strong experience advising on real estate regulations across multiple U.S. states.


• Experience with data center real estate, development, permitting, zoning, or related infrastructure matters strongly preferred.


• Experience conducting real estate and regulatory due diligence for new sites and jurisdictions.


• Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.


• Active U.S. bar license and in good standing.
