Controller, Real Estate & Finance Operations

Sollevare Group is hiring a Controller to own the accounting and financial operations of our growing real estate investment platform.

We are looking for an experienced real estate accountant who can take full ownership of the books while helping us build a highly efficient, technology-enabled back office. This is a hands-on role with direct access to the Founders and significant responsibility from day one.

The role will include:

• Own monthly and quarterly close across property and corporate entities


• Oversee financial reporting, GLs, bank reconciliations, AP/AR and cash management


• Review journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations


• Manage accounting for acquisitions, construction, refinancings and dispositions


• Oversee capital calls, distributions, investor reporting and lender reporting


• Coordinate with outside tax accountants on tax returns and K-1s


• Own budgets and budget-to-actual reporting


• Build and maintain strong accounting controls and SOPs


• Drive greater automation across our accounting workflows and make full use of AppFolio and emerging AI tools

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years of accounting experience with strong real estate experience


• Experience with AppFolio, Yardi or similar real estate accounting software


• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills


• Comfortable operating across multiple properties and entities


• High ownership, attention to detail and urgency


• Able to independently identify, investigate and resolve issues


• Interested in using technology to build a more scalable finance function

CPA preferred but not required.

Compensation: $150,000–$170,000 base + performance bonus + potential upside in the platform + path to CFO
