Senior Construction Manager
Job Description
Job title: Senior Construction Manager - Data Center Delivery
Seniority level: Intermediate-Senior
Employment type: Full-time
Workplace type: 80-100% travel to active sites
Job description:
Spent a year or two on the owner side delivering data center construction projects, and ready to step it up to the next level?
We are hiring for an explosive AI start-up with a $50 billion+ infrastructure pipeline. Multiple concurrent sites, moving faster than traditional construction management is built to handle. This is a step-up seat: full ownership of schedule, budget, safety, and site execution, orchestrating GCs, trades, and vendors directly - not a coordination role reporting into someone else's plan.
Why join
- Multiple gigawatt-scale sites running concurrently.
- Zero red-tape and beauracracy.
- Full ownership of outcomes, not a coordination seat. Tools, process layers, and administrative drag get stripped out in favor of solving the real problem.
- You're building the reference model, not just a building - every site's lessons roll forward so each new site goes up faster and cleaner than the last.
- High-intensity team solving a genuinely novel construction problem at a scale that hasn't been done before.
Role scope
- Own day-to-day site execution for greenfield and brownfield GPU data center builds, orchestrating general contractors, trades, and vendors to deliver safe, on-schedule, on-budget facilities at extreme power and cooling density.
- Build, maintain, and execute integrated schedules (Primavera P6, MS Project) across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Enforce the safety program and drive a zero-incident culture across all subcontractors.
- Coordinate CSA and MEP trades, resolving field conflicts in real time, and verify QA/QC, submittals, RFI, and change-order processes.
- Track and report daily progress, spend, earned value, and resource loading, and issue recovery plans when needed.
- Lead scopes of work for critical-path trades and packages, and manage construction contracts from award through close-out.
What we're looking for
- Owner-side experience delivering data center construction projects at a Hyperscaler - this is not a GC/EPC-to-owner-side entry point; you need to have already worked the owner side.
- Currently a Construction Manager ready to step up into an intermediate/senior seat with direct ownership of trades, GCs, and vendors.
- Fluency with Primavera P6 or MS Project for integrated scheduling.
- Comfort enforcing safety hard and holding subcontractors accountable.
- Willingness to travel 80-100% to active sites — this role runs from the field, not a desk.
- Bonus: construction management qualification; liquid cooling or high-density power builds; multi-site international delivery.
Compensation
- Base salary: $150,000-$210,000, depending on experience and location.
- Significant pre-IPO equity.
