E-Commerce Manager (Bristol, IN or Charlotte, NC)

LOCATION: Bristol, IN or Charlotte, NC with occasional travel to the other.
POSITION SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Manager serves as the strategic leader for all e-commerce operations across
EarthWay Products and Border Concepts. This role is accountable for formulating, executing, and
continuously refining the multi-channel e-commerce strategy that drives revenue growth, operational
efficiency, and brand integrity across both organizations.
The E-Commerce Manager exercises independent judgment and discretionary authority in the design,
prioritization, and optimization of e-commerce systems, platforms, agency partnerships, and
investment decisions. Hands-on involvement is limited to analysis, exception management, and
resolution of systemic issues rather than routine transactional execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
E-Commerce Strategy & Leadership
• Formulates and executes the unified e-commerce strategy for EarthWay and Border Concepts,
aligning platforms, processes, and performance metrics across both businesses.
• Provides strategic direction and leadership for all marketplace, DTC, and digital commerce initiatives.
• Establishes e-commerce priorities, KPIs, workflows, and governance standards to ensure scalability
and consistency.
• Serves as the internal subject-matter authority on EDI transactions ,e-commerce systems, trends, and best practices.
•Manages and processes all daily orders for all EDI partnered customers (THD, Lowes, Meijer, Ace, etc)
• Partners cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to align e-commerce strategy with broader business objectives.
Marketplace & Channel Authority
• Authorizes marketplace strategy, structure, and standards for Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Wayfair, Walmart, Shopify, and other current or future platforms.
• Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) experience preferred
• Analyzes platform performance, order flow health, cancellations, customer issues, and account risk to identify systemic trends and corrective actions.
• Resolves or directs resolution of escalated or systemic marketplace issues that materially impact
revenue, compliance, or customer experience.
• Establishes listing standards, content strategy, pricing frameworks, and optimization priorities across channels.
Systems, Inventory & Operational Governance
• Owns the e-commerce systems architecture, including NetSuite, EDI, SPS Commerce, and related
integrations.
• Analyzes inventory positioning and fulfillment performance across platforms and authorizes corrective strategies when thresholds or service levels are at risk.
• Maintains accountability for e-commerce shipment accuracy and timeliness through system oversight and exception management.
• Directs continuous improvement of SOPs, automation, and controls to reduce manual intervention
and operational risk.
Advertising, Budget & Agency Discretion
• Develops and authorizes e-commerce advertising strategies across marketplaces and DTC platforms.
• Exercises discretionary authority to set, allocate, and adjust advertising spend budgets within
company guidelines.
• Negotiates and manages relationships with external agencies, technology providers, and content
partners, including authority to recommend changes or termination of services.
• Evaluates return on investment and performance effectiveness to inform future investment
decisions.
Customer Experience & Brand Protection
• Establishes customer experience standards and escalation protocols across all e-commerce channels.
• Analyzes customer feedback, marketplace signals, and service data to proactively protect brand
reputation and account health.
• Directs resolution strategies for escalations that could materially impact platform standing or
commercial outcomes.
Growth, Expansion & Integration
• Leads evaluation and implementation of new platforms, brands, or revenue channels as business
needs evolve.
• Directs integration efforts between EarthWay and Border Concepts e-commerce systems to ensure
strategic alignment and operational continuity.
• Provides leadership input into long-term digital transformation and growth initiatives.

• Sustainable revenue growth and marketplace performance across EarthWay and Border Concepts
channels.
• Platform stability, compliance, and account health.
• Effective use of advertising budget discretion and return on investment.
• Successful system integration and scalability.
• Demonstrated leadership impact and individual contribution to company performance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is an office-based position at EarthWay Products in Bristol, Indiana, with periodic travel to Border
Concepts locations as business needs require.
