About the Opportunity

Seven Logik is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a multi-office law firm seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Associate Attorney to join its legal team in Miami, Florida.

Our client has more than a decade of experience serving a diverse client population and is supported by an experienced team of attorneys and legal professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to handle a diverse civil litigation caseload, represent clients throughout all stages of litigation, and provide effective legal counsel and advocacy.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation, excellent legal research and writing skills, strong courtroom and negotiation abilities, and the ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary starts at $90,000 annually. Compensation for experienced attorneys will be determined based on qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters.


• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, as applicable.


• Handle matters involving civil disputes, commercial disputes, contract disputes, business litigation, property disputes, and other civil litigation matters.


• Conduct client interviews and develop case strategies based on the facts, applicable law, and the client's objectives.


• Draft and review complaints, answers, motions, memoranda, pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.


• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and case assessments.


• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.


• Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with opposing counsel, clients, experts, and other parties.


• Analyze evidence, documents, contracts, financial records, and other information relevant to assigned matters.


• Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management and preparation.


• Maintain compliance with applicable Florida Bar rules, Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, court rules, and professional responsibilities.


• Perform other duties related to the representation of clients and management of assigned matters.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.


• Active membership in The Florida Bar and authorization to practice law in Florida.


• Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.


• Prior civil litigation experience preferred.


• Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation practices.


• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.


• Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities.


• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a legal team.


• Professional demeanor and strong client-service skills.


• Proficiency with legal technology and case-management systems.
