Receptionist / Billing Assistant

A prominent Fertility Clinic on the UES is looking for a receptionist to join our team. A strong candidate will have a solid work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and an empathetic nature given the sensitive field we work in.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in, and obtain insurance information.


• Provide patients with intake forms, copies of office policies, and assist with general inquiries.


• Manage administrative tasks, including drafting official correspondence and overseeing/scheduling patient appointments.


• Answer phones, take messages, and provide follow-up communication for patients, pharmacies, and other providers.


• Support billing operations by:


• Collecting and verifying insurance information at check-in.


• Entering and updating billing information in the system.


• Assisting with processing payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances.


• Coordinating with the billing department to resolve patient billing questions.


• Ensuring accuracy of patient financial records and insurance submissions.


• Familiarity with billing statements and billing codes

Salary Range

$22 – $27/hour, based on experience

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the medical field (preferred)


• 2+ years of prior customer service experience


• Basic Medical billing experience is a plus


• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills


• Ability to work on alternating weekends


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
