Scope & Reporting Structure

The Associate Director leads a team of Technology Managers responsible for the following domains, with SAP leadership operating through a dotted-line relationship:

• Finance Technology — SAP S/4HANA Finance, financial close, AP and procurement-adjacent capabilities, and finance SaaS.

• Supply Chain Technology — SAP S/4HANA supply chain capabilities, planning and execution applications, EDI/3PL integrations, and supply chain SaaS.

• Product Technology — PLM, product lifecycle capabilities, and connected product information processes.

• HR & Legal Technology — HCM, recruiting, learning, workforce and employee platforms, Legal applications, contract lifecycle management, e-signature, and related HR/Legal SaaS.

• Connected Commerce Technology — commerce and order-management capabilities, customer and fulfillment integrations, and the application ecosystem connecting digital commerce to enterprise operations.

• SAP Technology / Platform (dotted line) — SAP functional and technical leadership, development, platform governance, clean-core practices, and shared SAP capabilities.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, technology leadership, or related roles.

• Significant experience leading managers, senior technology leaders, or multi-disciplinary application teams.

• Demonstrated experience overseeing a multi-domain enterprise application portfolio spanning ERP, SaaS, integrations, and business-critical platforms.

• Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and demonstrated ability to partner effectively with architecture teams on cross-domain technology decisions.

• Broad familiarity with enterprise ERP platforms and how they anchor a wider application ecosystem; SAP S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to evaluate solution direction across applications, integrations, data, security, lifecycle, technical debt, scalability, and total cost of ownership without needing to be the deepest platform SME.

• Proven track record developing strong technology leaders and creating accountability across distributed or matrixed teams.

• Strong business partnership instincts with the ability to earn trust across multiple functional leadership teams while maintaining an independent Technology point of view.

• Executive-level communication skills and the ability to distill complexity into clear, decision-ready narratives and recommendations.

• Demonstrated judgment and autonomy in complex, ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

• Experience managing strategic vendors, systems integrators, AMS partners, and/or blended onshore/offshore delivery models.

• Ability to travel domestically up to 15–20%.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer products, retail, beauty, or eCommerce environments.

• Experience across multiple enterprise application domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, Product/PLM, HCM, Legal technology, Commerce/OMS, or procurement.

• Experience operating within an enterprise architecture governance model or architecture community of practice.

• Experience with application portfolio rationalization, platform strategy, or enterprise technology roadmap development.

• Experience operating within a BUILD/RUN or similar application ownership model.

• Knowledge of emerging and AI-driven capabilities across enterprise application domains, including intelligent automation, copilots, agentic workflows, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled SaaS capabilities.
