As the Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer, you will report directly to the Reliability and Performance Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize the performance of rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, and other mechanical devices. You will collaborate closely with various departments and station management to monitor equipment conditions and execute projects aimed at improving the overall reliability of our facility.
You will bring your expertise in steam plant operations and a solid background in mechanical engineering to the table. Your experience with rotating equipment will be invaluable as you provide technical guidance on processes, procedures, repairs, and project development. You will also assist in evaluating proposals for material supply and installation, ensuring that all projects are executed within budget and on schedule.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations to identify causal factors and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor reliability and performance issues, collaborating with both internal and external personnel to determine causes and resolutions.
- Support outage planning and execution, ensuring that scope, schedule, and budget are maintained throughout the process.
- Play an active role in the Team Safety Observation Program, promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
- Manage Change (MOC) assignments and contribute to the development of a five-year budget for your areas of expertise.
Your technical skills will be complemented by your ability to coordinate contractors for testing and maintenance activities, ensuring that all work aligns with our high standards. You will be instrumental in evaluating unit and equipment performance, working tirelessly to uphold our commitment to excellence.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in steam plant operations.
- A strong background in rotating equipment, specifically pumps and turbines.
