Shipping Supervisor

ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

JOB DUTIES:

• Supervises activities of employees engaged in shipping, loading, and unloading of trucks


• Supervises at multiple plant locations depending on daily workload


• Oversees packing and distribution of finished goods


• Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements


• Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs


• Meets warehouse operational standards


• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience required; Shipping experience strongly preferred


• Knowledge of warehouse software packages (MS NAV preferred) and scanning equipment


• Proficiency in MS Office


• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data


• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done in a safe manner


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations


• Strong organizational and time management skills

PHYSICAL Environment & Requirements:

• Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season


• Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction


• Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching


• Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing and handling


• May require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift) or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment


• CDL license or tug/forklift certification may be required
