Tax Senior-Individual

A rapidly growing boutique CPA firm on Long Island is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its expanding tax practice. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns (Forms 1040) for individuals and business owners.


• Prepare tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.


• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and partners.


• Conduct tax research and resolve federal, state, and local tax issues.


• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with tax examinations when necessary.


• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.


• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff members.


• Collaborate with partners on tax planning strategies and special consulting projects.


• Stay current on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation is a plus.

3–6+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.

Strong experience preparing individual tax returns is required.

CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
