Accounting Associate - Investment Management

An established investment management firm is seeking an Associate to join their Accounting team. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior accounting professionals and gain exposure to the financial operations of a growing private markets investment platform.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and financial operations for private investment funds


• Perform cash and accounting reconciliations and review investment-related activity


• Work with third-party fund administrators on ongoing accounting and operational matters


• Assist with the review of quarterly financial statements and related reporting


• Review journal entries and maintain accounting records


• Maintain books and records for management and general partner entities


• Assist with audit preparation and tax-related activities


• Prepare reports and provide accounting support to senior finance professionals


• Reconcile data across accounting systems and maintain accurate financial records


• Provide general support to the broader accounting and finance team as needed

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of related accounting experience


• Prior public accounting or fund administration experience preferred


• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills


• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external service providers


• Interest in developing expertise within the private markets/investment management industry
