Responsibilities


This position is responsible for the architecture, engineering, implementation, and support of enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and data protection platforms. This role leads the design and evolution of highly available, secure, and scalable storage solutions supporting business-critical applications across the enterprise.


This role also includes engineering activities in support of day-to-day management of SAN, NAS, Backup and other Storage technologies. They work closely with other key infrastructure teams (server operating system (Linux/windows), server planning, database, and networking) to build, maintain, and support highly scalable, reliable, and resilient data storage systems.


The successful candidate will drive resiliency and recoverability across data centers while partnering with infrastructure, database, application, security, and networking teams to ensure platforms meet performance, availability, and recovery objectives. This position requires a systems-level design mindset, strong technical leadership, and the ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.




Required



  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, provisioning, and supporting enterprise SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and Backup platforms.

  • Experience with SAN fabric technologies including Brocade and Cisco.

  • Experience supporting enterprise storage platforms including Hitachi VSP, Infinity, NetApp, EMC, IBM, HP, and related technologies.

  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise storage, backup, and recovery solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence technology decisions across multiple teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop presentations, technical diagrams, status reports, and executive-level communications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
