Known for quality workmanship, strong design-build and preconstruction capabilities, and deep roots in the communities it serves, the firm has an active pipeline of commercial, education, and multifamily projects and is looking to add a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support its project teams.

Job Description

The Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager and Superintendent across all phases of construction, helping coordinate, document, and drive projects to successful completion. With a current workload heavy in K-12 and commercial work, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated up-and-comer to gain hands-on experience and grow with a respected regional builder.

Select Responsibilities

• Support contract administration, including subcontractor selection, bid documents, and change order agreements


• Provide organized document control, including daily logs, submittals, RFIs, and monthly status reports


• Manage the RFI, change order, and shop drawing process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation


• Work directly with subcontractors and vendors to support quality and cost control


• Track and document inspections and re-inspections


• Assist with material tracking, procurement coordination, and delivery scheduling


• Support project close-out, including punch lists, warranties, and closeout documentation


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Superintendent

Ideal Candidate

• 1–4 years of experience in commercial, K-12/Education, multifamily, or similar ground-up construction (recent graduates with relevant internship experience considered)


• Working knowledge of construction principles, documentation, and project controls


• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills


• A team-first attitude and eagerness to learn and grow


• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office


• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
